The advantages of replacing older or competitor’s magnetic separators with our proprietary designs that employ higher powered, rare-earth Neodymium magnet circuits are well known, including greater capture and hold ratios. Gaussmeter

This simple instrument allows you to easily measure magnetic strength without any hassle. A new gaussmeter makes HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) compliance a snap. Simply place the probe at the maximum magnetism and read the meter. It comes with everything you need: instructions, viewing paper that allows you to quickly locate the area of maximum magnetism, a replaceable 9V battery and a 48° flexible probe.

HACCP requires your magnet’s strength be verified. There are two ways to measure magnet strength: Measure your magnet with a pull tester or with a gaussmeter. A gaussmeter is an electronic instrument that measures the number of lines of magnetic flux emanating from a magnet. A gauss is the number of lines of magnetic flux per square centimeter.

If the magnets in your unit have not been broken and have not been exposed to extreme temperatures, then current gauss measurements should closely approximate the original readings. If they are not exposed to any of these conditions, permanent magnets will lose magnetism on their own, however this degradation is very slow, on the order of one percentage point every ten years.

MAGBULLET™

MAGBULLET is an all stainless steel, bullet-shaped, magnetic separator designed for pneumatic or gravity flow conveying lines, where metal trash is best separated from product flow by tapered poles created by a bullet-shaped cartridge. Powerful, rare-earth, neodymium magnets capture and hold iron, steel, or nickel trash and stainless steel shear until cartridge is removed and cleaned.

MAGBULLET™ is designed with cross-sectional areas that are nearly equal to the line in which they are installed. This means they can be installed in virtually any position without product dropping out of suspension or reducing the separator’s ability to remove metal trash even as small as 0.0001 inches in size.

MAGDUCT™

MAGDUCT™ duct magnets are designed for mechanical or gravity fed processing systems where metal trash from nuts, bolts, and miscellaneous hardware to stainless steel fines as small as 0.0001 inches can be captured from product flow by magnetic tube, grid, or plate circuits powered by rare-earth, neodymium magnets.

MAGDUCT™ duct separators are fabricated to customer specifications in square, rectangular, circular, or flat and stepped-plate designs using either 304 or 316 stainless steel.

MAGGRATE™

MAGGRATE™ grate magnets are designed for mechanical or gravity fed processing systems where metal trash from nuts, bolts, and miscellaneous hardware to stainless steel fines as small as 0.0001 inches can be captured from product flow by magnetic grids of powerful neodymium rare-earth magnets.

MAGGRATE™ grate separators are typically fabricated to customer specifications using 304 or 316 stainless steel tubes and frames. Square, rectangular, or circular designs appropriate to the application minimize metal bridging and product build-up when installed in barrels, bins, chutes, hoppers, or other enclosures.

MAGPLATE™

MAGPLATE™ plate magnets are designed for use above or below conveyors or similar applications where powerful, rare-earth neodymium magnets in one to five pole circuit configurations remove and capture metal trash as small as 0.0001 inches from free-flowing product lines.

MAGPLATE™ plate magnets are typically constructed in flat-faced, boxed, channeled, stepped, hinged, and flanged designs using 304 stainless steel. Sanitary, water-tight, housings protect against corrosion from mild acids, moisture, and other chemicals used for wash downs.

MAGTRAPS™

MAGTRAPS™ are North America’s popular brand of magnetic separators for liquids, slurries, and pumped chunky products. These powerful magnetic line traps are available in more than 30 off-the-shelf models and an unlimited number of custom configurations when manufactured to customer specifications.

Standard sizes for up to 6 inch lines. Metal trash and fines, including work-hardened stainless steel as small as 0.0001 inches are captured by powerful, rare-earth, neodymium magnets and held in-place until cleaned.
