BEECO has extensive hands-on experience servicing plate and frame heat exchangers across a wide range of food and beverage processing plants. We offer four core services — performed both onsite and offsite — to keep your heat exchanger running clean, tight, and within specification.

Plate packs fail in three ways: gaskets wear, plates foul, and seals leak. We test, clean, and regasket — onsite or at our Chino shop.

Our Core Services

Four services cover the full lifecycle of a plate pack — from locating a leak to restoring full thermal performance. Details on each are below.

CTR — Cleaning, Testing & Regasketing

Our complete CTR process is the most thorough way to restore a heat exchanger to full performance.

We handle everything: disassembly, gasket removal, descaling and cleaning of all plates, leak detection, new gasket application, oven curing, full reassembly, and final pressure testing and quality control. BEECO has performed CTR service on a wide variety of makes and frame sizes — we know what to look for and how to get it done right.

CCT — Onsite Cross Contamination Testing

Cross contamination between product and service fluid is a critical food safety concern.

Our onsite CCT service pressurizes the system and delivers real-time results without product removal or downtime. The process is non-toxic, non-flammable, non-invasive, and requires no cleanup — making it the fastest way to confirm whether your heat exchanger has a plate failure. BEECO technicians have performed CCT on units across a broad range of plate configurations and operating pressures.

Onsite UV Dye Circulatory Leak Detection

When a leak needs to be precisely located, our UV dye circulation method is the most reliable non-destructive option available.

Dye is circulated through the pressurized heat exchanger; any breach allows the dye to permeate and become immediately visible under UV inspection. Water-soluble, environmentally friendly, and fully non-destructive — no plates are pulled until we know exactly where the problem is. BEECO's experience with UV leak detection means faster diagnosis and less unnecessary disassembly.

Restreaming

Restreaming optimizes the flow configuration within your plate pack to recover thermal efficiency and correct for plate wear or prior service errors.

BEECO's engineering background in liquid processing systems means we approach restreaming analytically — evaluating your operating parameters and reassembling the pack to the correct pass configuration for your process.

Documentation & Scope

After service, we follow up with documentation of the work performed and any recommendations for your unit. Our quotes include parts and labor as required by the scope of service. The cost of service does not include any parts, gaskets, or fluids unless specified.
