CIP Systems
Engineered for Repeatability & Built for Performance.
A CIP (Clean in Place) Skid System automatically cleans your application without dismantling the entire system, keeping your process running efficiently. Every BEECO CIP System is engineered to your exact process — your layout, your utilities, your cleaning requirements — and fabricated in-house.What Is a CIP System?
A Clean-In-Place (CIP) system automatically cleans the interior surfaces of process piping, tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and associated equipment — without disassembly. Properly sized CIP delivers the right flow velocity and pressure to remove product residue, rinse thoroughly, and sanitize — every cycle, every time.
Thorough, repeatable cleaning is not optional in food processing. It protects product quality, consumer safety, and your production schedule. A well-engineered CIP system gets you back into production faster while reducing water, chemical, and labor costs.
How a CIP Cycle Works
- Step 1 — Pre-Rinse: Flush loose residue with water
- Step 2 — Caustic Wash: Recirculate hot caustic to remove soils
- Step 3 — Intermediate Rinse: Rinse caustic from circuit
- Step 4 — Acid Wash: Remove mineral scale & deposits
- Step 5 — Final Rinse: Rinse to clean, potable water
- Step 6 — Sanitize: Sanitize surfaces before production
CIP System Components
- Single or Multiple Tank System
- Single or Dual Hot Water System; which consists of Circulation Pumps, Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger, and a complete steam inlet and condensate outlet manifold
- Standard PLC Control System or a Customer specific control scheme
- Entire CIP System is mounted on an all Stainless Steel Frame
System Configurations
BEECO sizes and configures each CIP system based on your circuit count, product types, cleaning chemistry, and available utilities. Common configurations include:
| Configuration | Best For | Key Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| 1-Tank System | Smaller or single-circuit operations with limited floor space | Compact and cost-effective; sequential fill, heat, and drain cycles |
| 2-Tank System | Mid-size food processing operations (most common) | Recirculated wash solution reduces chemical consumption and cuts cycle time |
| 3-Tank System | High-frequency cleaning operations | Rinse recovery reuses final rinse as the next pre-rinse, significantly reducing water consumption |
| Multi-Tank / Multi-Circuit System | Large plants cleaning multiple lines in parallel | One system serves multiple circuits from shared tanks; lower capital cost and floor space |

Engineered and Built by BEECO
Every BEECO CIP system is fabricated on a fully welded, all-stainless steel frame. Wetted components are sanitary-grade 316L stainless. Our engineers size supply pumps, return pumps, heat exchangers, and instrumentation to your specific flow and pressure requirements — not to a catalog spec.
Standard System Components
- Stainless steel CIP tanks (single or multiple)
- Centrifugal supply pump(s) — sized to circuit demand
- Shell & tube heat exchanger with steam inlet and condensate outlet manifold
- CIP return pump assembly
- Chemical injection system
- Conductivity, temperature, flow, and pressure instrumentation
- All-stainless structural skid frame
Controls and Automation
BEECO integrates PLC-based control systems tailored to your operation. Standard systems ship with a touchscreen HMI running recipe-based cleaning programs — pre-rinse, caustic wash, intermediate rinse, acid wash, final rinse, and sanitize. Setpoints for time, temperature, flow, and chemical concentration are adjustable per recipe.
Control platforms are selected to match your facility standard — Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or customer-specified. BEECO can also integrate the CIP system into your existing plant DCS or SCADA network.
Control Options
- Standalone PLC/HMI panel
- Customer-specified PLC platform
- Remote I/O for distributed process valve control
- Ethernet/IP integration with process equipment
- Data logging and batch reporting
- FSMA-compliant cleaning record documentation
Standards and Compliance
BEECO CIP systems are designed and fabricated to meet applicable sanitary standards for the food and beverage industry:
- 3-A Sanitary Standards
- FSMA sanitary design requirements
- HACCP-compatible cleaning validation
- UL 508A listed control panels
- AWS D18 sanitary welding standard
