Sani-Matic Systems
Sani-Matic designs, manufactures, and services automated sanitary process cleaning equipment and hygienic components for the food and beverage industry. Their systems are built to deliver automated, repeatable, and verifiable cleaning results — with sanitary designs that meet 3-A standards. For food and beverage processors, Sani-Matic covers the full cleaning picture: protecting product streams with sanitary strainers, automating CIP across process lines and vessels, and handling Clean-Out-of-Place washing for parts that can't be CIP'd. Components are stocked and available in standard or custom configurations — and can be configured directly on the BEECO website.
Hygienic Components
Sani-Matic's hygienic components are manufactured at their Sun Prairie, WI facility and are built to protect and optimize your process. Select components carry 3-A authorization. The table below covers each component category, what it does, and key configuration details.
| Component | Function | Key Details | 3-A |
|---|---|---|---|
| Angle-Line Strainers (ALB) | Remove particulates from process lines without breaking the line for cleaning. Basket element can be removed in-place. | Multiple sizes; perforated & wedgewire elements; magnetic trap add-on available; tight-space design with minimal components | ✔ (42-02) |
| Straight-Line Strainers | In-line straining for process layouts requiring straight-through flow. Lines must be disassembled for cleaning. | Single flow configuration; perforated & wedgewire elements; US-manufactured with quick turnaround on standard models | ✔ when perforated elements used |
| ChillGuard™ Strainers | Protect cooling and refrigerant systems — including glycol loops — from particulate damage. | 304SS, 316SS, 6Moly or special alloys; filtration to 25 microns; customizable sensor & drain ports; high-capacity options minimize pressure drop | — |
| Spray Devices & Supply Tubes | Clean-In-Place coverage of process vessels and tanks via static spray balls or rotary/jet impingement devices. | Spherical, tangential, and spray bubble configurations; Sani-Matic engineers 3-D vessel models for full-surface coverage; rotary units from AWH (NEUMO-Ehrenberg Group) | ✔ (78-03) |
| Hygienic Spray Deflectors | Redirect spray flow within process lines and equipment to ensure complete CIP coverage. | Food & beverage and high-purity versions available; directionally drilled configurations for complex geometries | — |
| Tanker Spray Washers | Drop-in spray washing for tanker trucks — reduces wash time and chemical usage. | Easy-install, drop-in style; suitable for tanks 44 ft, 50 ft, or longer; reduced water and chemical consumption | — |
| Washdown Equipment | Clean equipment and processing areas between production runs. | City or boosted water pressure systems; rinse, foam, and sanitize options available | — |
| VL-3A Sanitary Sight Glass & VessaLite® Light | Provide visual monitoring of process lines and vessel interiors. The VessaLite® LED light pairs with the sight glass for illumination. | 1.5″–4″ tri-clamp connections; 3-A certified sanitary & cleanable design; integrated tri-clamp mounting bracket on VessaLite® | ✔ (Sight Glass) |
| Tank Components & Accessories | Support CIP operations at the vessel — air vents, gooseneck vents, COP baskets, flow-diverter panels, and chemical delivery fittings. | CIP air vents eliminate water loss during cleaning (up to 1,000 gal/yr savings per tank); 2″, 3″ & 4″ tri-clamp vent connections; gooseneck vent high-purity versions available | — |
Why Sani-Matic Components
There are a lot of hygienic component suppliers. Here's why Sani-Matic is worth specifying.
Every component is fabricated at Sani-Matic's Sun Prairie, WI facility by a team that specializes in sanitary welding and finishing. All welds pass Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) review — not just spot-checked, but systematically verified.
Select components — including the ALB strainer and spray devices — carry actual 3-A authorization, not just compliance claims. That's a meaningful distinction when an auditor walks your floor.
Sani-Matic builds 3-D models of your process tanks to calculate the exact spray device drill pattern needed for full surface coverage. You're not guessing — you're verifying before installation.
CIP air vents alone can stop up to 1,000 gallons of water and 20 gallons of chemical from leaking out per tank per year. Components are designed with operating cost in mind, not just purchase price.
Common configurations ship fast. Complex or application-specific builds get Sani-Matic's engineering team behind them. You get options without waiting months for a custom quote to come back.
If you're running Sani-Matic CIP or COP equipment, components are spec'd to integrate cleanly. No adapters, no workarounds — everything is designed around the same sanitary process logic.
