Established in 1973, David Newman set out to create the only company in the country dedicated to manufacturing FDA compliant gaskets, “O”-rings and custom molded parts. He started with production of 1 1/2 and 2 inch clamp gaskets. In 1976, the first national distributor came aboard. Soon Newman had a national and international distributor network along with several OEM accounts.

Newman Sanitary Gasket Company has a large distributor base across the United States and in some foreign markets. BEECO has worked hard for us and we are very proud they have become part of the Newman organization.

Sanitary Gaskets

Newman has exclusively served high purity process industries since 1973 — food and beverage first, then pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals. Their sanitary gaskets include tri-clamp gaskets, envelope gaskets, and schedule 5 gaskets, all built from proprietary elastomer compounds.

Materials available: EPDM, Buna-N (Nitrile), Viton®, Silicone, and Teflon™ fluoropolymer. Every compound meets FDA criteria. EPDM, Viton, Silicone, and Teflon are available in USP Class VI for pharmaceutical applications.

Newman’s EPDM compounds cover hardness ranges from 50 to 90 Shore A and handle a wide temperature range: -55°F to +325°F. They resist aqueous acids and bases, steam, oxygenated sanitizing solutions, and a range of polar solvents — the daily demands of food and dairy processing.

O-Rings

Newman manufactures standard, industrial, hygienic, and custom O-rings for high purity applications. Their O-rings run in mechanical seals, single-use assemblies, pumps, and valves. Materials include Silicone, Viton™, EPDM, Silverback™, Teflon™, Buna, and HNBR.

Newman offers a full line of AS568 (Aerospace Standard) compliant O-rings and a wide range of Metric standard O-rings (Common Metric, JIS, and BS). Every compound is manufactured and batch traced in-house. All O-rings comply with FDA and USP Class VI requirements and meet standards for food, beverage, dairy, and pharmaceutical processing worldwide.
