What Makes Ace Sanitary Different

Ace Sanitary's Flex-Rite™ hose line meets or exceeds 3-A, FDA, USDA, USP, and ASME BPE compliance standards. That's not a marketing claim — it means every hose in the line has been designed, tested, and certified to meet the specific hygiene and cleanability criteria those standards require. A lot of hose on the market is "food grade" in name only, meeting basic FDA material requirements but falling well short of 3-A.

What 3-A Actually Requires

3-A Sanitary Standards are the benchmark for hygienic equipment design in food and dairy processing. They've been in development since 1920 and today represent equipment fabricators, food processors, and regulatory bodies under an ANSI-based consensus process. Getting 3-A certification means an independent inspector has reviewed the design and confirmed it meets criteria for cleanability, material safety, and absence of contamination traps.

For hose specifically, 3-A Standard 62-02 covers assemblies with a smooth inner bore (no convoluted or corrugated liner), proper end fittings that support CIP cleaning, and a minimum ¾" inner diameter. Band clamps, worm-gear clamps, and exposed wire-braid exteriors don't qualify. The standard exists because dead legs and hard-to-clean surfaces breed bacteria — a problem that drives product loss, recalls, and regulatory exposure.

Hose Lines We Carry

Ace Sanitary builds hose for nearly every food and beverage application. Their Flex-Rite™ line covers multiple product families:

  • R-Series (Rubber) — Butyl and EPDM rubber hose for suction and discharge in dairy, beverage, wine, and brewing. The RW series is lightweight with extra flex. The RSD series handles high temperatures and resists CIP solutions. The RCR is crush-resistant and springs back to shape even after being run over.
  • F-Series (Food Grade) — High-flexibility, kink-resistant hose for food-grade water transfer, sugar transfer, railcar loading, and abrasive materials.
  • P-Series (PVC) — Clear PVC hose with wire or helix reinforcement. The PHH is transparent for visible product flow and rated for dairy and low-temperature applications. The PWT is heavy-duty for high-performance suction.
  • S-Series (Silicone) — Silicone hose for high-purity pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and biotech processes. Includes braided, double-braided, and wire-reinforced options. Compatible with autoclaving, irradiation, and ethylene oxide sterilization.
